Ok- so the shirt is beautiful, and a super refreshing bonus- it isn’t stinky (yay proper vintage storage!) HOWEVER. The “raw hem” is literally a hem that has been chopped off unevenly. As a professional fashion designer who works for a brand that utilizes raw hems- both real raw hems and faux raw hems- you cannot.just.chop.off.any.old.fabric and call it a raw hem. Especially not a devore velvet. This is already a fuzzy mess and I can only see it getting worse. That being said- still 4 stars because it is so cute. So cute.

The shirt is pretty, but I wish the shop would take pictures of the flaws. The description mentioned a small hole "in front," and I sent a message inquiring where exactly the hole was, since it wasn't shown in the images. I waited almost two weeks and there was no response, so I figured I'd just take the risk and order, hoping that the hole was somewhere inconspicuous, like the front bottom. Turns out, the hole is right on the breast. I probably wouldn't have ordered it had I known that. I'm not too upset, but I do hope that the shop puts more emphasis on any flaws in the pictures in the future.

Update: Erika contacted me and she's super nice about figuring out a way to get this flaws fixed! I think it is due to a oversight and I'm very thankful that Erika is someone who cares about her customers!


Original review: I have to say I'm a little but disappointed by the quality of the coat: the fur collar was a bit skewed (one side of the stitches seem to be missing), and there is a hole in the pocket lining. I understand buying vintage you are not getting a brand new one, but given the price, other vintage stores usually would have these imperfections mended. Maybe the seller just overlooked these mendable flaws? I would recommend either lowering the price for flawed pieces or mend these flaws before selling in the future.
